“Adaptive Laplace Mechanism: Differential Privacy Preservation in Deep Learning” authored by NhatHai Phan, Xintao Wu, Hao Hu, and Dejing Dou has been accepted as a regular paper at ICDM 2017, which will be held in New Orleans, on Nov 18-21, 2017. ICDM is a highly selective conference, which received a total of 778 submissions and could only accept 72 papers as regular papers for presentation and inclusion in the proceedings, reflecting a 9.25% acceptance rate.

“Preserving Differential Privacy in Convolutional Deep Belief Networks” authored by NhatHai Phan, and Xintao Wu, Dejing Dou has been accepted in Machine Learning Journal and invited to present in journal track of ECML/PKDD 2017 conference.  Congratulations!

We also had another paper on  “Differential Privacy Preservation for Deep Auto-Encoders: an Application of Human Behavior Prediction” authored by NhatHai Phan, Yue Wang, Xintao Wu and Dejing Dou in AAAI 2016! It is exciting and challenging to work on this important and emerging topic.
